Project Summary
Prospective Cohort Study to track changing lifestyles, risk factors and CDs (CVD in particular) in rural and urban areas in 15 countries
Explore individual and societal factors to enable development of societal interventions; reduce population levels of risk factors to reduce CVD
Decrease burden of CVDs; devt of effective culturally sensitive interventions
2 MAs, 3 PhDs.
Key Activities
Cohort followed over 15 years ( 2009-11 is recruitment phase; then follow-up every 3 years from 2012). 2 urban, 2 rural sites; 2000 participants.
