Suraya Mohamed has worked as a radiographer in various state and private hospitals in Cape Town. She teaches and convenes the health promotion and alcohol problems modules. She has been involved in developing schools as health promoting schools. Her PhD research focused on the implementation of health promoting schools in South Africa. Her current research interest is adolescent health and wellbeing including sexual and reproductive health. She coordinates the Postgraduate Diploma programme and the selection process of applicants for the Postgraduate Diploma and Masters programme.
