Dr Hazel Bradley is a senior lecturer at the School of Public Health (SOPH), UWC. Hazel is leading the new area of specialisation in Pharmaceutical Public Health within the Master of Public Health (MPH) and development of online modules at SOPH. Hazel trained as pharmacist in the UK and a few years after moving to South Africa in 1994 obtained her Master of Public Health. Her doctoral research used a systems approach to explore district and sub-district level pharmaceutical services in Cape Town. Prior to joining the SOPH in 2003, Hazel worked with a Cape Town non-governmental organisation delivering community-based primary health care services and in primary level drug management. Hazel teaches courses in Public Health, Rational Medicines Use and Medicines Supply Management and her current research interests include pharmaceutical human resources, using systems approaches to improve medicines management and supply, and pharmaceutical public health education.
